Some of you may not know this, but Kurt Russell actually did audition for Star Wars back in the day. On The Graham Norton Show, he admitted that he not only read for the part of Han Solo, but for Luke Skywalker as well–and when George Lucas told Russell he wasn’t sure he was going to be casting him in the film, Russell said he started looking at other projects. Can you picture this version of Star Wars happening? I honestly think Kurt Russell could have brought an interesting interpretation to the character of Han Solo, but clearly things worked out the way they did for a reason–and he doesn’t seem to have any hard feelings about essentially turning down Star Wars.
