Woman gets kicked out of brother’s wedding over her dress. But people can’t decide if she’s innocent: ‘It’s not the dress..’

There are unspoken rules at weddings: don’t upstage the bride, don’t cause a scene, and definitely don’t show up in something that could be mistaken for white. One woman says she got booted from her own brother’s wedding over a “white and floral” dress she insists was harmless. The bridal party? Not so convinced.
Things escalated from side-eyes to threats, and she ultimately left. However, she still claims it was unjust and rants about it in a viral video. Now the internet is stuck on the real question: was this an innocent outfit… or a calculated risk that backfired spectacularly?
What Happened at the Wedding?
According to Blair (@blairbishopp), things started going downhill from the start. Her 72-second clip shares what she believes is the whole story, but some of the 3 million viewers don’t agree so quickly.
The comments section contains over 6,000 of them sharing their opinions, with many choosing staunch sides. Her clip starts off strong, saying she got “harassed” and kicked out of the wedding simply because of her outfit. Blair moves a few steps backwards from the camera to show her full dress. It is a classic, floral milkmaid dress with the base color being white. The flowers are pink and green. Blair says seven of her friends sided with her, but she’s now asking her viewers for opinions.
She continues by saying that from the very beginning, she noticed people at the wedding staring at her.
“As soon as I walk into the doors, everyone’s looking at me, which normally I’m like, yeah, whatever,” she says. “But it wasn’t like a good everyone’s looking at me.”
Despite this, the ceremony goes off without a hitch. It’s afterwards on the way to the reception, where Blair notices her new sister-in-law talking to one of the bridesmaids. Said bridesmaid then goes to Blair and asks her to change clothes.
Does She Change?
At first, Blair is adamant that her dress is inoffensive.
“This dress, it barely has any white in it,” she rants at the camera.
She says they argue “back and forth,” with Blair insisting she can wear whatever she wants. Finally, another bridesmaid shows up and straightforwardly threatens to do something to Blair’s dress “to make sure it’s not white anymore.”
Despite not knowing what that threat fully entails, Blair decides to leave. “Thankfully for them, I’m a kind, considerate person,” she says. As if to seal the deal, she then reveals that on her way out, she stole some flowers. The clip ends here.
Is This Story Fake?
A significant number of Blair’s viewers believe the video to be ragebait. It wouldn’t be the first viral clip to do so. It’s not even Blair’s first viral clip to go viral, in fact. She has gone viral before plenty of times, with many of the videos also being suspected by viewers to be satire or ragebait.
In February, Blair got 3.6 million views on a video where she claims women who post bikini pictures are cheating on their boyfriends. Another clip got almost 2 million likes for her saying she would rather talk about men’s issues than women’s. Women in the comments either beg for her to reveal it as satire, while others insist it must be ragebait.
Though not probably ragebait, her most viral TikTok got almost 7 million views. She shared the story of how she caught her best friend cheating on her boyfriend and she decided to reveal it to him. Many viewers argue that the entire story was fake as well. Blair has not responded to these types of comments.
‘Are you all ragebaiting?’: Viewers Flip the Script
Now it’s the viewers who are pointing fingers at each other. One faction insists Blair’s dress is inappropriate, while the others are baffled as to how they believe so. “Are you all ragebaiting? It’s a normal summer dress,” says a comment with over 83,000 likes. Another claims, “It’s a floral dress not a white dress.”
On the other side of the spectrum, a comment with over 23,000 likes says, “It’s a white dress with flowers on it..”
A second viewer says, “The rules are whatever the bride says it’s her wedding.”
Others even suggest that the dress is too informal for the wedding. One viewer says, “This dress feels like you’re actually UNDER dressed… it’s very casual…but otherwise that dress is floral… that’s crazy.”
A second shares, “If it makes you feel better I thought this was too basic for a wedding.”
Some choose to call out Blair’s attitude instead, not her attire. “It’s not the dress thats causing the problem…” speculates one viewer.

Another says, “I don’t think it’s your place to decide what’s appropriate at someone else’s wedding. It’s a good dress and it looks fine. But, if the bride of the wedding asks you to change a your response is to get defensive and argue back you’re the problem.”
Finally, one viewer with over 2,400 likes says, “This did not happen.”
