Star Wars: The Last Jedi‘s Kelly Marie Tran has already revealed herself as a huge Harry Potter nerd. In an earlier interview with Buzzfeed, she shared the story of how she wore her “her lucky Ravenclaw tie” to her Last Jedi audition, along with a sweater vest. She also admitted that she spent the classroom time when her high school teacher played Star Wars “reading Harry Potter, so I wasn’t listening to it.”

Give that she’s such a proud Potterhead, Collider’s Steve Weintraub had to ask her to put that knowledge to work. In the Last Jedi interview above, he asks her to sort various Star Wars characters into their respective Hogwarts houses.

He starts with an easy enough character: “Luke.”

“Luke is … I would say Gryffindor.”

“Leia.”

“I would say Gryffindor, too.” Tran then leads forward and explains: “Usually, families go into the same houses.”

“Han.”

“I could see him being a Gryffindor-Slytherin.”

“Finn.”

“Ah, Finn. Umm … Slytherin.”

Wait, what? Finn is in … Slytherin? Did Tran just give away something about his character arc? I would have sorted him into Hufflepuff or Gryffindor after The Force Awakens, but maybe he shows off his ambition and cunning in the Canto Bight scenes? Or is he the character who shocks us and betrays everyone? Say it ain’t so!

Tran also sorts Poe Dameron, Rey, Kylo Ren, C-3PO, RD-D2, and Wicket the Ewok. Finally, Weintraub drops the toughest question of all, asking Tran to sort her own character, Rose Tico. Tran and the rest of the cast have been quite discrete about Rose’s personality and journey, preferring to maintain an element of surprise for the audiences. But Tran did concede to give us a little hint by sorting her.

“I’d like to say my character is much like me in real life,” she says, “The Sorting Hat would’ve been like, ‘You’d be great in Ravenclaw…’ And I would be like, ‘Gryffindor! Gryffindor!’ So then they would have let me into Gryffindor.”
