Princess has already warned us all not to underestimate the star power of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, but even still, the Jumanji reboot’s success has been a bit surprising—not to mention just being a better movie than anyone expected. It now sits in the top 30 domestic box office hauls of all time, blowing its source material out of the water, and has earned itself the Honest Trailer treatment.
And really, they’re dead right about how satisfying it is to see actors play against their type, especially The Rock (and everyone else) overtly appreciating his very existence, and Karen Gillan commenting on ridiculous wardrobe choices. Now, all that’s left is to await the inevitable sequel.
