Just in time for the release of John Wick: Chapter 2, the gang over at Screen Junkies have released an Honest Trailer for the first movie. Spoiler alert: It’s pretty accurate.
John Wick tells the story of an assassin who comes out of retirement when the son of a Russian mobster stole his car and kills the dog his newly-deceased wife sent him to help with the grieving process. He swiftly jumps back into action for revenge, killing 76 people in the process. In the immortal words of Keanu Reeves, whoa.
A third film is already in the works, and there might even be a prequel TV series on the way as well. “Lionsgate is very interested in doing a John Wick TV show,” director Chad Stahelski said. “We’d like to wrap up the story we’re telling now and maybe save all our prequel ideas and impossible task ideas for that medium.”
Yes to the Honest Trailer. No to that TV show.
