‘I think it was you:’ DoorDasher receives complaint about undelivered food, then she pulls up to the customer’s house
Some people need to hesitate

There’s a lot of content about customers expressing grievances against DoorDash or its delivery services, but very little about delivery people complaining about customers. Lainey (@laineylou90) became part of the exception when she uploaded a TikTok video confronting a customer who alleged their DoorDash order was undelivered.
The approximately 1-minute video shows Lainey getting out of her car and approaching a house. As she rings the doorbell, a woman opens the door, and Lainey asks her about her mom, who is also partly visible in the video.
Then she speaks directly to the “mom” and asks about the notification she received saying she didn’t receive her food. The “mom” then says she got the order and raises an empty glass that appears to be a milkshake as confirmation.
Lainey urges the woman to cancel her dispute alleging that she didn’t receive the order. “Well, can you cancel the dispute, please? Because it said that you disputed that you never received it,” Lainey says before the woman responds, “I’ll. I’ll cancel it. I’m sorry.”
“Glad you went back”
Some people in the comments section sided with Lainey and expressed dissatisfaction with her experience. They noted that a complaint about undelivered food could have landed her in serious trouble at her job.
One user wrote, “Trying to get free food but not caring about someone else’s job is wack.” Another user wrote, “Some people don’t realize that DoorDash could be someone’s full-time job and a complaint like that can get them banned. Glad you went back!”
A few people in the comments raised completely unrelated issues that didn’t pertain to the incident highlighted in the video. They sarcastically asked Lainey to turn up the background music, which in their opinion made what she said in the video almost inaudible. One user said, “Could the music be any louder? I could almost hear what you were saying.” Another wrote, “Turn the music up. I almost heard what was being said.”
One person in the comments section highlighted how their food was stolen after it was dropped off at their address. They commented, “I know this time they lied, but there are so many cases of food being stolen after being dropped off. It’s happened to me. Also, going BACK to people’s homes is a dangerous game.”
Some people in the comments section seemed to focus on the weight of the women featured in Lainey’s video. One person wrote, “big bigger biggest,” while a few others shared similar sentiments.
A user rebutted those comments, noting that it was unnecessary to focus on their weight in this situation. They said, “Y’all, it doesn’t matter how much they weigh. Scammers come in all shapes and sizes. Y’all just wanna make fun of overweight people so bad to make you feel better about the reflection you see every day.”
Was the dispute canceled?
The dispute was indeed canceled, but not by the woman. In a later video featuring the same incident, which Lainey uploaded without the music, she responded to a comment asking about the issue and said she sent a video to DoorDash and that they canceled the dispute.
