‘I need $50k immediately’: Woman gets Cheesecake Factory’s famous Linda’s fudge cake. Then she immediately regrets it
The sweetest plans can turn sour

Trying a dessert everyone seems to be talking about should end with deciding whether it deserves the hype. One woman barely got that far before something in her chocolate cake caught her attention.
A disappointing slice is one thing. Cheesecake Factory customers have complained when their cake did not quite match expectations, but finding something moving around inside dessert is considerably harder to ignore. Unfortunately, this customer had already started eating.
According to TikTok creator Fever (@adrianna_fever), she finally decided to try Cheesecake Factory’s Linda’s Fudge Cake after seeing the chocolate dessert gain attention online. Her excitement did not survive a closer look at the slice.
This wasn’t what she expected
“I finally did it,” Fever begins as she shows off the cake. Seconds later, her tone changes. “Why does my cake look like this?” she asks before noticing a tiny white object. “Yo, there’s something in my cake.”
Fever zooms in for a closer look and becomes increasingly alarmed. “Oh, my gosh, it’s so small,” she remarks. She then identifies what she is seeing as a worm.
The discovery was particularly unpleasant because this was not an untouched slice. Fever had already eaten some of it before noticing anything unusual. “I really ate some of this?” she asks.
Her caption made clear just how differently the experience had gone from what she expected. “Decided to get the viral chocolate cake from cheesecake factory just for there to be a worm in it…. GREAT,” Fever wrote.
The chain itself describes Linda’s Fudge Cake simply as layers of rich chocolate cake and fudge frosting. It is also a substantial dessert: Cheesecake Factory’s nutritional information lists a slice at 1,450 calories. The restaurant sells the dessert by the slice as well as in 10-inch whole cakes.
Of course, restaurant food discoveries can become difficult to stomach quickly. Diners have found tiny white creatures around a Korean barbecue grill, while even something as ordinary as lettuce at Cheesecake Factory has made customers take a much closer look at their food.
Fever’s viewers were doing plenty of close looking themselves. Many believed the white object in the cake looked more like a maggot than a worm.
“Maggots! You ate MAGGOTS!!! Girl those ain’t no worms!” one person wrote. “It was full of maggots,” another claimed.
One viewer was even convinced Fever had already eaten some before spotting the problem. “She ate one at the beginning too second bite,” they commented. Someone else estimated, “omg you ate like 20 of them.”
The reactions only became more dramatic from there. “I would have made my self barf immediately after that,” one person admitted, while another joked, “GIRLLL Sue everybody, even me.”
Perhaps the most straightforward assessment came from a viewer who had apparently already calculated the emotional damages: “I need $50k immediately.”
Not everyone accepted that the cake necessarily left Cheesecake Factory in that condition, though. One commenter who identified themselves as an employee pushed back on Fever’s claim. “They literally freeze the cake so there is no way it could survive the freezing temps,” they wrote, adding that they believed the cake had been left out before Fever ate it.
That comment does not establish when the object ended up in Fever’s cake. The clip shows what she discovered after purchasing it, but does not provide details about how long she had the dessert or how it had been stored before she started filming.
For Fever, however, those unanswered details did little to improve the experience. She wanted to see whether the popular chocolate cake lived up to the attention it was getting. Instead, one tiny discovery was enough to end the taste test.
