Hunter Biden Coins the Term ‘Closetocracy’, Uses It to Describe Republicans With Internal Conflicts Who Take Their Anger Out on the World
America has a bigger problem, apparently!

Since becoming president for a second time in 2025, Donald Trump and several of his supporters in influential positions have repeatedly criticized Hunter Biden, the son of former President Joe Biden. While Biden has mostly avoided directly responding to those comments, this time he is making a statement about members of the Republican Party that aims to thoroughly criticize them.
In clips that have gone viral on social media, especially on X (formerly Twitter), from his recent appearance on the I’ve Had It podcast hosted by Jennifer Welch, Hunter Biden highlights a fundamental problem with America, and it is not oligarchy.
Hunter Biden says something even more dangerous than oligarchy exists
Hunter Biden, during a recent episode of I’ve Had It, said that the United States is facing a much more serious issue now, and it is not oligarchy as many would like to believe. Instead, he argues it is “closetocracy,” which he claims is demonstrated by the “largely” Republican “closeted gay mafia” population operating in Washington, DC.
Discussing the negativity the individuals engaged in “closetocracy” bring to the world, Biden suggests that their actions stem from an internal conflict that sometimes overwhelms them, causing them to lash out at others. He states, “The only reason that is relevant is I believe that internal conflict creates so much vitriol inside a person that they take it out on the rest of the world”.
During the same podcast, Hunter Biden also showered praise on Zohran Mamdani
During the I’ve Had It podcast, Hunter Biden also discussed New York mayor Zohran Mamdani. He said that despite what many people believed earlier and continue to believe about Mamdani, including claims that he is steering the Democratic Party toward disaster, he actually considers him a great leader and someone who is “really good” at what he does. Additionally, Biden also mentioned that he appreciates him for all the things he has accomplished since becoming mayor, most of which were campaign promises.
Here’s what Hunter Biden specifically said in context: “They look at people like Zohran Mamdani and they go ‘Oh, my god it’s the end of the Democratic Party. I look at Zohran Mamdani and I go: there’s a leader. Every single thing that they talked about: People are gonna flee the city and they are gonna go crazy…He made promises and you know what he did? He kept them. He’s lowering rent, he’s building co-op grocery stores, pre-kindergarten. That’s all people care about. He’s really, really good,”
