‘Humans have lost empathy’: Unsympathetic bride complains after her wedding photographer died before sending her the photos

A bride has come under fire online after she took to TikTok to complain after her wedding photographer passed away before giving her the wedding photos. The video, which has since been taken down by the original poster, was branded as insensitive and completely lacking in empathy by netizens.
We’ve seen our fair share of bridezillas, but this one takes the cake. While the original video is gone, clips of the bride’s angry rant have been reposted on TikTok by people who also provide their own commentary on the situation. One of those commentators is Brittni, a TikToker with 140,000 followers. “Some women around their weddings become f—ing monsters,” Brittni proclaims.
She then proceeds to summarize the drama, explaining that the bride had hired a wedding photographer whom she had worked with before. “After the wedding, the photographer seems to be very off schedule,” she says. Once things went past the deadline, the bride supposedly began to grow impatient with the photographer but soon found out that her photographer had died.
Brittni shows a clip from the Bride’s original video in which she described the moment she saw the news and realized it was her photographer. “Flipped open Facebook. First thing that I see is, server at Park Tavern and mother killed on the patio during her shift. And I s–t you not, I looked at my husband, and I said, ‘I swear to god. I swear to god if this is her.’”
Netizens label the bride a “monster”
Unfortunately, the dead mother of three apparently was the bride’s photographer. “I’m so sorry that a woman’s death has inconvenienced you,” Brittni says, calling the bride a “monster.” Brittni also claimed that the bride was given the raw photos by the husband of the photographer, and another photographer apparently edited the photos free of charge.
Others on TikTok chimed in to berate the bride for her insensitive video. “WHY WOULD SHE POST THAT[?]” asked one viewer. “Unhinged behavior. How does empathy just go out the window like that?” another wrote, while a third added, “Humans have lost empathy.”
However, not everyone judged the bride so harshly; some took her side. On X, one person playing devil’s advocate argued the bride paid a lot of money for the pictures and was allowed to ask for them. They also claimed that the photographer had gone “incommunicado until 8 weeks after with excuses with no pictures still.”
While many agreed that the bride had a right to ask for the pictures, most agreed that the video ranting about the situation was a step too far. However, the bride has since taken her video down and seemingly deleted her entire account.
