An Arizona man told his wife he was going out with his friends “all day.” Then his wife took one look at his location and realized he was at a Holiday Inn.
TikToker Goobz (@itsgoobz) posted a video detailing exactly how she found out her husband was cheating. The worst part? Most commenters agreed he didn’t seem to care about getting caught.
The content creator saw her husband at a Holiday Inn after a night of drinking with his “friends.” She asked TikTok for reassurance but ended up receiving mixed answers as to whether her husband was cheating.
She got her answer, though, as later, she recorded proof that her husband was in a hotel room with another woman. That video, which now has over 1.7 million views, was praised by many TikTokers considering how calm the content creator was in the midst of personal chaos, especially considering the fact that her initial intuition was right.
The TikToker’s experience
Goobz, a TikToker who goes by an online alias and normally posts regular family content, took an opportunity to ask her viewers a hypothetical: “ Hypothetically speaking, what would you do if your husband was out drinking all day with his buddies at the bar, and then he’s not responding to you for hours, and it’s late at night, and then you check his location and he’s at a Holiday Inn?”
She told her audience that she was confronting her husband toward the end of the video, but she asked what she should theoretically do in the meantime.
Commenters told her almost immediately that it was time to start calling attorneys. “Gather all the info you need. Speak to an attorney. Life is better after divorce,” one viewer said.
Confronting her husband in a Holiday Inn hotel
Goobz went to the Holiday Inn and tried to get into her husband’s hotel room. She gave a front desk attendant her husband’s information and told them he had fallen asleep without giving her the room number. It’s unclear whether they gave her any information, but she had to move to a different strategy.
As an alternative, she walked through the halls of the hotel and pinged his phone until she heard it through one of the doors. She knocked and waited for someone to come out.
As soon as the door started to open, she burst inside. That’s when she saw a woman. The TikToker called out for her husband, “Randy,” who she identified in the video, but she didn’t hear a response from him. Instead, the other woman started talking first.
Randy eventually said, “Yeah,” in response to his wife. The TikToker asked the other woman who she was, and the woman told her Emily.
“Why is he hiding in the bathroom?” Goobz asked. Her husband replied and said he was “peeing, babe.” That’s when Emily seemingly fully realized who Goobz was. She began apologizing, but the TikToker tried to stop her. Surprisingly, she was comforting to the woman who may have been with her husband the night prior.
A Tense Interaction with Her Husband and the Other Woman
Despite Goobz’s attempts to comfort the other woman, there was still tension in the air. Her husband was largely ignoring the situation and did not take the opportunity to explain the situation to his wife.
“I don’t have a problem with you,” Goobz said to Emily. “Obviously… you don’t know?”
As they talked, Goobz recorded the sound of her husband urinating inside the hotel room. The woman tried to explain that she was “standing right where” Goobz was recently, and that she and Randy did not do “anything.” When Randy finally walked out to engage with the two women, the TikToker realized he was naked.
“He did get drunk and pass out at 10 o’clock,” Emily told her. Goobz continued asking questions, including how they met. Emily and Goobz largely compared notes as to when Randy stopped texting his wife and went back to the hotel room that night. Emily then told the TikToker that she was glad she found them. The women did not attack each other and did seemingly bond over the betrayal, although it was clear that Goobz was struggling with the situation.
She captioned her initial TikTok capturing the event, saying, “How do you recover from the ultimate betrayal!?!? 3 kids, a home, and a marriage all down the drain for a one night stand. I’m riding the roller coaster of emotions, doing my best to hold it together for my babies.”
Some Final Updates
In later updates, Goobz let her audience know that she was in indescribable pain. She didn’t know how to explain the situation to her three children, nor did she know the exact best way to move forward.
She posted a confrontation with her husband that they had in the elevator the day she found out. There, she told her husband that she knew he was cheating. “I just felt it in my chest,” the TikToker responded. TikToker commenters said that her husband was “calm” throughout the video, even as she confronted him and told him she knew he bought condoms for the outing.
Since then, Goobz has been trying to deal with the situation. In the aftermath, she described being unable to eat because of how emotionally tumultuous the revelation was. Friends and family stepped in to help, and the woman has since started recovering from the revelation.
Her current relationship with her husband is unknown, but she has not posted any subsequent videos with him.
