Guard your minds, Gorilla Grodd is definitely returning to The Flash in 2017. Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg already made the big announcement during the Television Critics Association’s summer press tour, revealing that his arc would take place over two episodes.  “We’re going to be doing a two-part episode that takes place in Gorilla City,” he previously said during the CW’s panel.

On Thursday, David Sobolov (who voices the telepathic primate) confirmed the news on Twitter and added that “more news” will follow soon once he goes the  go-ahead from Warner Bros. I’m wondering if that means he’ll play an even bigger role than we first thought.

When we last saw Grodd, he had been sent through a breach to a gorilla refuge on Earth-2 where other primates who were also experimented on live together. Season three’s two-part episode is supposed to take place in this gorilla city and I really hope they keep it at that. That is, unless everyone goes ape and we get happy, party Barry living it up.

The Flash returns on Tuesday, January 24, 2017.
