–An internal email from an Android group manager, unsealed by a Massachusetts state court this week in Skyhook Wireless’ ongoing lawsuit against Google [Skyhook alleges that Google used its clout to ‘interfer[e] with Skyhook’s ability to have its location-sensing technology placed on mobile devices made by Motorola and Samsung’], will no doubt be grist for the Android critics who see the mobile operating system’s promise of openness as nothing more than an empty slogan in the midst of increasing ecosystem crackdowns, and who see Google as on track to become the next Microsoft. (Not in a good way.)
