Guillermo Del Toro Would Love To Put Godzilla In Pacific Rim 3

Recommended Videos

Perhaps it would be a little too on-the-nose, but apparently, Guillermo Del Toro would love to include an official, canonical Godzilla facing off against a Jaeger in Pacific Rim 3. A sequel to the 2014 reboot of Godzilla is already in the works, and rumor has it that a crossover film could be brewing for these two franchises.

How would that work, exactly, given that the world of the most recent Godzilla film bears very little similarity to the world of Pacific Rim? Admittedly, the writer of Godzilla 2 has teased some plans to introduce more monsters into the future films in the franchise, and we all know that the monsters in Pacific Rim’s universe have entered the planet via a rift in the space-time continuum … or, uh, something like that? Their origin is pretty mysterious, after all, so maybe it could turn out that all of Pacific Rim‘s monsters have been arriving from the world of Godzilla. That could be awesome. Or extremely silly. Or both! What do you think?
