Mark Your Calendars, Disney’s Star Wars Theme Park Is Almost Here

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is cleared for arrival, so start planning your trips.

The announcement that the Star Wars theme park will soon be opening their doors is not doubt incredibly exciting for fans who have mostly settled for spending their entire Disney day on Star Tours. “While we are still hard at work creating our largest single-themed land expansions ever, I have some exciting news to share today”, writes the description. While there’s currently no exact date, it states, “Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will open in summer 2019 at Disneyland Resort and in late fall 2019 at Walt Disney World Resort, when guests will land in the middle of the action as they live their own Star Wars stories.”

Accompanying the teaser is this image, which looks like everything you’d want in a Star Wars park and more. I am incredibly jealous of everyone who will be visiting—my hometown is near Disneyland and all I can think about is how envious I am of the high schoolers who’ll be going on school trips and Grad Nite to Star Wars world.

Are you going to be making a pilgrimage to Galaxy’s Edge when it opens?
