Oh Funko, you done goofed up.
When it comes to releasing their Funko Pop collections for television series, there tend to be some massive oversights in who gets included and who doesn’t. Many people brought up how in the Jurassic Park Funko set didn’t include Ellie Sattler, and the Dragon Ball franchise has Dragon Ball-era Bulma as their lone female character, excluding characters like 18, Chi-Chi, and Videl. Their most recent oversight came when they released the images for their upcoming Funko collection for the show New Girl.
So um … where is Cece?
Cecilia “Cece” Parekh, played by the amazing Hannah Simone, has been a fixture on the show from the beginning. She is Jess’s longtime best friend, a close friend to both Winston and Nick, and also the major love interest, and now fiancee, of Schmidt. Not to mention just being a comedic, beautiful badass all by her damn self. So her not being included in the first series of toys is a glaring oversight. One that even Simone pointed out:

While I didn’t religiously watch New Girl, I appreciated the characters of Winston and Cece and find it alarming that, despite the diversity in the series, that was not reflected in the toys. If Funko does fix their error and releases a Cece Pop she needs to have at minimum six looks.
