The newest incarnation of the main X-Men title, X-Men, caused some stir when it was announced that the main team lineup under Brian Wood would be six of Marvel’s most famous mutant characters… and they’d all, almost coincidentally, be women. Those six characters have been given lovely portraits by artist Louie Joyce.
