The SPIRE Federal Credit Union serves residents of Minnesota and Wisconsin, so that would explain why us New Yorkers have never heard of it before. But it’s already found its way into our hearts, by choosing a lady who likes comic books for one of those “look how homey and personal and not a capitalist edifice we are” commercials. Comic book loving ladies: they’re just like us!
