BettyAndVeronica_02_Cover

We shared with you the covers for the upcoming new Betty & Veronica comic series being penned by Jamie Rotante and we are super excited to share both the covers and teaser for the next two issues of the brand new series. As mentioned before the comics will focus will be on our leading ladies dealing with their final year of high school as they begin to leave their youth behind to start college.

“Senior Year, Pt. 2: Fall” – The girls are under stress from their parents and peers—Veronica’s parents want her to attend their alma mater; Betty’s parents are stressing out over the cost of college. Betty and Veronica start to grow apart because of their new hobbies and interests, but they know that one thing will bring them together: Riverdale’s Halloween party. On Sale Date: 1/30.

All of these covers are awesome and the fun things about variants is seeing how different artists have interpreted the characters. One of the jokes that people used to share was that Betty and Veronica looked exactly the same but with different hair colors, but no one can say anything about that now. Veronica Fish’s is probably my favorite if I had to choose because I love the bedroom details for each girl in that issue.

Now we also have the covers for issue 3!

“Senior Year, Pt. 3: Winter”: Betty’s severely questioning her college options while Veronica’s father meddles with her college plans once more—she’s upset, but something happens that makes it even harder for her to tell him how she feels. On Sale Date: 2/27

Jen Bartel’s art style always stands out if you are familiar with her work, but all these covers are fun and expressive. I enjoy that in Bartel’s cover, it is Betty who has the mischevious glint in her eye. I’m so excited to see where these stories go and what’s next for Riverdale’s favorite ladies.
