The teens of ‘Euphoria’ are all grown up in these season 3 images
The new season of Euphoria is almost here, and Zendaya’s group of mostly troubled kids are all grown up now. HBO Max decided to surprise everyone this morning with a massive sizzle reel teasing a ton of releases from 2026. One of these titles that got the biggest placement was of course, Euphoria. Sam Levinson’s enduringly viral, thinkpiece-powering, drama series makes its long-awaited return in April of 2026. Fans have been champing at the bit for any morsel of information and they finally got it this morning.
If the stuff from that sizzle reel wasn’t enough, HBO Max saw fit to shake the timeline even further with some new images from Euphoria‘s upcoming season. Rue, Jules, Cassie, Nate, and a ton of their friends are all back. But, they’ve been changed by the time away. Notoriously, social media was absolutely aflame with takes about Euphoria’s numerous cliffhangers. Everyone had a take on what was going to happen with that bloody suitcase, just to name one example. We’re closer to answers than ever now.
Euphoria Season 3 photos tease the future coming up fast
HBO Max’s new images for Euphoria Season 3 tease a time skip for our featured characters. Everyone is off doing their own thing. Sydney Sweeney’s Cassie is loving life, or is she, with a melting ice cream cone? Hunter Schafer’s Rue has taken up bigger canvases judging by that massive painting behind her character. Internet heartthrob Jacob Elordi is posing with some raw meat he’s preparing. Everyone’s got a little something in the works.
The decision to press forward with Euphoria Season 3 has been well-documented all over the Internet. Director Sam Levinson has been pretty adamant about continuing the story through various news updates in all those years since the second season. Earlier this week, the creator talked to The Hollywood Reporter about the time-skip element of this season’s story. It turns out there’s a massive reason for a five-year gap to exist.
“The one thing we all agreed on is we can’t go back to high school — although many, many shows have had 30-year-old high school students, we’re not,” Levinson told the press. “Five years felt like a natural place [to jump] because if they had gone to college they’d be out of college at that time.”
When does the new season drop?
April 2026 is the release period for Euphoria Season 3. HBO Max is confident in what they’re bringing to the table with the fan-favorite drama. In an uncertain era for streaming, hanging on to series that sparked discussion in the before times is absolutely paramount.
“I am thrilled that we are ready to begin production on Euphoria in January,” Francesca Orsi, Executive Vice President of HBO Programming and Head of HBO Drama Series and Films, previously wrote in a statement. “We could not be happier with our creative partnership with [creator] Sam [Levinson] and this incredible cast,” the statement continued. “We look forward to bringing this new season of Euphoria to life for the fans.”
