Previously, we took a look at the gorgeous concept art of Captain Marvel drawn by Andy Park. But those designs came after several versions of Captain Marvel character and suit design.
It’s always fascinating to see where designers started, and how they came to their final product. Artist Aleksi Briclot shared a design concept on Instagram that focused on Carol’s alien background and her time living with the Kree. While Carol is human, she has Kree blood in her veins, and Bricot wanted to emphasize the duality of Carol’s nature in three very different Starforce uniform designs.
Each design is unique and beautiful in its own right, but they all convey an otherness. Briclot wrote, “Here I was trying to hide the human root of the character like it’s looking like an alien and then Tadaaaa! It’s a human face! With Brie Larson feature! Basically this approach is focusing on how to surprise the audience. To play with this and to create mystery.”
Ultimately, I like how Carol’s suit turned out. It’s a nice combination of Kree and Air Force design that perfectly suits the character. What do you think of the other suit options?

#PetSematary delivers a solid sense of dread from start to finish. It earns its well-timed jump scares, and terrific sound design and gnarly effects add extra layers of creepy. I think King fans will dig it.
