‘Don’t Do Drugs, Kids’: Michigan Woman Got Shot and Nearly Had a Heart Failure. She Found a Way to Make it Worse.
Nobody’s perfect, and some people can make the worst of decisions even though they’re already in a precarious state. Internet celebrity Moe Millionz (@moezmillionz) from Michigan recalled one time she was hospitalized, only to end up back in the same hospital after a series of bad decisions involving drugs.
“I got shot in the stomach that time,” Moe told TikTok. She has been open about her experiences with drug addiction and incarceration online. When Moe was shot, she said that she had gone on a week-long drug binge and had neither eaten nor slept.
When she got loaded in the ambulance, she overheard the driver say that they had a Code Red, GSW, and a Code 99.
“I’ve been shot many times on different occasions, so I know that a Code Red means clear the pathway. They got like a serious patient coming in,” she said. Moe was also aware that ‘GSW’ is an acronym for ‘gunshot wound,’ but she had no idea what a Code 99 meant, so she asked one of the medics with her.
“You might be in heart failure,” the medic told her. Most people would be thrown into a further panic if they were told that they were having heart failure. But Moe had one serious concern at the time.
“So, I ain’t gonna be able to smoke crack tonight?” She recalled telling the medic that. But Moe defended herself, saying that she was high when she asked the medic. She confessed that at the time, she was more concerned about doing drugs than living.
“I was gonna say ‘not make it,'” the medic said, giving her a look. Nevertheless, Moe arrived in the emergency room just in time.
She looked for drugs the minute she got out
The doctors worked on her gunshot wound in the operating room and stitched her back with 63 staples down her stomach. She stayed in the hospital for a week, but as someone who suffered from addiction, Moe was thinking about her next fix. When they discharged her on the eighth day, Moe left and waited at a bus station.
She spoke to a man nearby and asked him where she could get “stuff.” He took her to a spot, and he showed her a strip of paper with an assortment of candies on it. Moe asked for one of them, and the man warned her against it.
“It’s acid,” the man told her. Although Moe couldn’t recall the exact name of the drug, based on her description and the man’s words, it may have been LSD.
“Just take a little bit or you’re going to trip like shrooms,” the man said. Heeding his advice, Moe broke the hard candy in half and took it. He also told her to keep looking at her watch so that she could track the time.
Her bender had an unexpected consequence
“So, I’m looking at my watch, and it’s about 7:30. And I look at my watch again, and 9 p.m.,” Moe said. Time flew by, and when she finally snapped out of it, she made an awkward realization.
“I’m butt-ass naked in the same hospital that I was in before, standing on the gurney,” Moe said. She was also holding her arm up, and she didn’t know exactly why. But it’s not as simple as swiping on the wrong person and getting catfished on Tinder. Moe didn’t even know how she found her way back to the same hospital she was confined in.
The nurses barged in the room and told her to get down from the gurney. Instead of complying, she started shouting back at the nurses.
“You ain’t having my watch! I gotta make sure I know what time it is,” she shouted back. As she was cussing out the nurses on the gurney, she tilted forward and came crashing on the floor. She landed belly first, like how someone would fall into a pool. In that moment, Moe’s stitches got split.
“And I caught something like a staph infection,” she said. Instead of being able to go home after a week in the hospital, she now had to stay for three weeks. The infection was so severe that the doctors had to reopen her wound, stitch it back up, and heal it from the outside in.
Although Moe could laugh about the twist of events now, she had one pro-tip left for her viewers on TikTok: “Don’t do drugs, kids.”
