‘Don’t act dumb’: Joe Rogan called out after anti-Trump comments, and Internet says pick a lane

Joe Rogan looks serious against a dark background

It seems that Joe Rogan is taking a step back from unrelentingly supporting United States President Donald Trump after suddenly growing a conscience.

In a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, the Republican leaning podcaster was seen criticising the Immigration and Customs Enforcement, which has been conducting raids throughout the United States at the order of Trump, in one of the biggest efforts at cracking down on what he calls the “illegal alien” population.

During the episode, Joe Rogan mentioned being disturbed by the visuals of the ICE conducting these raids, wherein they forcibly drag individuals, including children and arrest them, noting that some of them have been staying in the US for more than 20 years. He insists that there are better ways to handle the situation while suggesting that people who have been law-abiding residents of the US for years, despite being immigrants, be given citizen status, while those defying the law be punished. He said:

“The way it looks is horrific. When you’re just arresting people in front of their kids, and just normal, regular people that have been here for 20 years, that everybody who has a heart can’t get along with that.”

He continued:

“Everybody who has a heart sees that and that can’t be right. That can’t be right. That can’t be the only way to this.”

The clip from his podcast in which Rogan speaks of his views on tackling the immigration “problem” was widely shared on social media, including X (previously Twitter). While some people appreciated him for taking a stand against the issue, others were quick to point out his double standards. For the uniformed, Joe Rogan was one of the many public personalities who had shown continual support for President Donald Trump during the 2024 elections. One person on the platform, highlighting this behaviour, wrote:

“YOU Voted For This.  Don’t Act Dumb.”

Other Rogan critics also echoed similar sentiments. First, Marjorie Taylor Greene and now Joe Rogan, are the tables finally turning? Only time will tell.
