First Pic of Peter Capaldi on the Set of Doctor Who

Today was Peter Capaldi’s first day filming Doctor Who. “New job, first day, slightly nervous,” said the actor. “Just like the Doctor, I’m emerging from the TARDIS into a whole other world.” More important than the fact that Capaldi was born to play the Doctor and I will eyebrow glare at you if you say otherwise, the picture constitutes our first look at what Twelve’s outfit will be. It looks like the wardrobes of an English professor and a particularly genteel cowboy mated and had a semi-boring baby. But watch chain. Behind the jump you’ll find one more look at Capaldi all suited up, this time on the cover of Doctor Who magazine. Whoops. As has been pointed out, this is just the regeneration outfit. Boy is there egg on my face!
