For the 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who, the BBC is bringing us back to the series’ roots with the TV movie An Adventure in Space and Time. Airing on BBC America on November 22, the day before “The Day of the Doctor,” the special promises a behind-the-scenes dramatization of the show’s origins, and the trailer has us pretty excited.

With David Bradley (Lord Walder Frey on Game of Thrones) portraying First Doctor William Hartnell, fans will get a look at the struggles the show initially faced that shaped the beginnings of the now worldwide phenomenon. For more information on the special, head over to BBC’s Doctor Who website.
