From crowdfunding masters Gabe Diani and Etta Devine (The Selling, Huck Finn: Robotic Edition) comes an apocalypse that’s more madcap than Mad Max, and we’re immediately into it. How could we not be with cast members like Buffy the Vampire Slayer‘s Armin Shimerman and Harry GroenerLegend of Korra’s Janet Varney, and Barry Bostwick?

We’ve been following the comedy duo’s film since the beginning, which they describe as “an apocalyptic comedy in the spirit of the old Bob Hope and Bing Crosby ‘road’ movies about two struggling comedians who discover that surviving the apocalypse is almost as difficult as surviving Hollywood.”

The movie is now in post-production and will be on the festival circuit within the year, and if you’re interested, you can already preorder the finished film on their website and still nab some of the backer reward goodies.
