Things We Saw Today: Comics Creators Pay Tribute to Neal Adams

Plus America Chavez, Melissa McBride, and more!

The comic book industry lost another giant with the passing of Neal Adams. Adams, who died this week at the age of 80, was an iconic artist for both DC and Marvel comics throughout the 1960s and 1970s, drawing the likes of Batman, Superman, the Avengers and the X-Men. Adams was also a major creative force behind the Green Lantern/Green Arrow series of the early 1970s, which addressed real life issues like racism and drug addiction. He co-created the characters Ra’s al Ghul, Man-Bat, and John Stewart (the first Black Green Lantern) for DC Comics and Mockingbird for Marvel.
