Why Would Coldplay Check in on the Woman Having an Affair on the Kiss Cam at Their Concert?

Coldplay hasn’t checked in on the woman caught having an affair at one of their concerts. And, honestly why would they?

TMZ managed to see Kristin Cabot out and about this week. They had to ask about the moment where she was caught on camera with Andy Byron. It feels like the entire world saw the clip and her life basically went left at that moment. During Coldplay’s show in Boston, the two got shown on the Kiss Cam and quickly tried to get out of frame. Unfortunately, the video made its way to social media, and that was that. Now, TMZ is asking the questions.

Cabot clarified, “Nope never did!” And, when asked if she would ever attend again, the executive had a quick answer. The swiftness of the, “No, I’m all set. Yeah, thank you!” spun my wig around. It’s funny, and you know this woman had nothing nice to say about the random TMZ encounter after the fact. But, it is rare we get to check up on one of these social media moments like this.

When that video hit your timeline, everything changed for Cabot. She separated from her husband Andrew Cabot a couple weeks before the event. Byron had to offer an apology to the company they both worked at.

Astronomer had to deal with a public relations disaster that most companies would flinch just thinking about. And of course we don’t know what her boss has to say for himself all these months after the fact. It is 1000% messy. But, isn’t that the point of these sorts of social media dust-ups?

This is far from the first time the cabinet has had to address the situation. That Coldplay concert had wide ranging ramifications for everybody involved. Chris Martin got asked about it hysterically. But yeah, as is often the case in our society, the woman in question bears the brunt of any of this embarrassment. (We should point out that it’s on her in the same breath, but you didn’t see nearly the outrage about a boss dancing with his employee like that.)

“I made a bad decision and had a couple of High Noons and danced and acted inappropriately with my boss,” Cabot told the NYT. “And it’s not nothing. I took accountability, and I gave up my career for that. That’s the price I chose to pay.”

Later in that same interview, she said, “…My mind turns to, ‘Oh God, Andy’s my boss.’ I was so embarrassed and so horrified. I’m the head of HR., and he’s the CEO. It’s, like, so cliché and so bad. We both just sat there with our heads in our hands, like, ‘What just happened?'”

Needless to say that she’s still bearing the brunt of all this drama in the public eye. Someone at TMZ thought it was newsworthy enough to check up on her. One of the most bizarre social media stories of the last couple years gets a nice tidy bow attached to it.

Well, unless the people involved get caught or photographed somewhere again. Then we can start it all over again.
