Cloak and Dagger Adaptation Casts Olivia Holt and Aubrey Joseph as Leads

It was announced a few months ago that Freeform was looking to premiere a TV adaptation of Cloak and Dagger in 2018, but it was the news that Gina Prince-Bythewood would direct the pilot that really got us excited about the show and how it would approach its themes. Also exciting now is the news that Marvel and Freeform have cast the actors for Tandy Bowen and Tyrone Johnson.

Disney star Olivia Holt and The Night Of‘s Aubrey Joseph will play the leads. Showrunner Joe Pokaski, who says he’s been a fan of these characters since he was a boy, is “so excited to see what these talented young actors bring to the Marvel Universe.” Head of Marvel television Jeph Loeb sings high praise for Holt and Joseph, saying they “encompass the true essence of the characters and we are excited for the audience to see them in these roles.”

Are you excited to see these two as Tandy and Tyrone?
