New Captain America: Civil War Featurette Focuses on Its Marvel-ous Women

See what I did there?

We’ve been excited about what we’ve seen so far promoting the next offering from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Captain America: Civil War. However, there is something that we were wondering about…where are all the awesome ladies? This featurette, called “In Good Company,” gives Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, and Sharon Carter the attention they deserve!

Scarlett Johansson gives us insight into what side Black Widow will fall on in this telling of the Civil War story. Emily VanCamp talks about the evolution of Sharon Carter, and the fact that we’ll be seeing a lot more of her (and her ass-kicking!) in the upcoming film. And Elizabeth Olsen talks about the challenges of playing a complex character like Wanda Maximoff, and ultimately what facet of the character she loved exploring most.

As excited as I am about Black Widow, I’m much more excited to see the return of Scarlet Witch and Sharon Carter to get to know them even better. Scarlet Witch was my favorite part of Age of Ultron, and I’m looking forward to seeing how Olsen transitions her from misled sort-of villain to hero. I’m also glad that it seems like Sharon Carter will be given more to do.

Which Woman of Marvel are you most excited to see on the big screen, either in this film or in the upcoming MCU films? Let’s talk female superheroes in the comments!
