as a Big Sister from Bioshock 2
The character I am cosplaying is a Big Sister from the video game Bioshock 2. I am a huge fan of the Bioshock series, particularly of the universe and characters, which now has made me a collector of the figurines and props. Since I’m such a huge fan, I decided to make my own costume of the Big Sister, as it’s one of my favorite characters in the game.
The costume involved sculpting, (sculpt images below), mold-making, casting, fabricating, painting, and sewing – all done by me (though I had help with sewing some of the outfit). The helmet and shoulder pads are made out of a smooth-on plastic, and the chest armor was made out of car bondo. The tank is a painted cardboard sonotube and the cage is made out of plastic strips meant for, I believe, lining a window. I got a lot of my supplies from Home Depot to create this.
