UPDATE: The event is now over, and we’ve got a recap of what we learned about the iPhone 5S and 5C right here.
Today, as expected, Apple announced the iPhone 5S and 5C. The announced the C first, so we asked our Twitter followers what they think it stands for. Take a look at some of the replies.
@Geekosystem color?

This is an obvious one. The phone comes in a variety of color combinations.
@Geekosystem CRAP! Is that too on the nose? — Richard Inza (@richinza) September 10, 2013
By far the most popular reply we got. I’m not sure I agree, but I’m also not rushing out to upgrade from my Galaxy S3 either.
@Geekosystem China — David Sinclair (@ItsSinclair) September 10, 2013
That’s accurate.
@Geekosystem cheap or consumer conscious? — Jaron Ruth (@SultanofSwaT033) September 10, 2013
“Cheap” was another repeating theme we saw, but I like that @SultanofSwaT033 classed it up a bit with “consumer conscious.”
@Geekosystem it’s horrible — Alex Moody (@AlexM00dy) September 10, 2013
You’re mistaken. “Horrible” doesn’t start with “C”.

Get that cash money.
@kucing @geekosystem costly?
— #sandalian (@sandalian) September 10, 2013
At $99 for the 16GB version, I have to agree. For a “cheaper iPhone” the 5C doesn’t actually seem that much cheaper.
