A woman’s boyfriend questioned her about “Michael,” a man that she had apparently contacted on her phone. He didn’t realize, however, that “Michael” was the “Michael’s” craft store.

In a video with more than 9.6 million views, @chrisxkeara posted an encounter with her partner, who at that time, was accusing her of infidelity. Her boyfriend holds his hands to his head, asking her about “Michael,” the man that she apparently had been seeing. She asks, “Can you repeat what you just said?”

He then recounts, “Last night, I was going through your phone while you were sleeping… Do you want to tell me what I found in your phone?”

She replies back, “You wouldn’t have found anything,” to which he replies, “Do you want to own up to it?”

At the end of the video, the boyfriend says, “Honestly I’m out of here… if you can’t even own up to it.”

Is this a sign that he was cheating?

Many commenters were quick to point out that the boyfriend ultimately may be projecting regarding his relationship. In the video, the boyfriend mentions going to “Jessica’s house” to discuss the fact that @chrisxkeara may be cheating. This was a red flag according to commenters, who noticed that he was going to another woman’s house to “talk” about his relationship.

@Elia L Perez said, “He was already cheating, he’s just projecting onto you what he was already doing. This is a good thing. Push (him) out of your life.”

Projection is “unconsciously taking unwanted emotions or traits you don’t like about yourself and attributing them to someone else.”

Other commenters, like @???•???????, agreed saying, “babe he’s BEEN cheating. I am so sorry, what the hell.”

Some people left comments asking where the “red flag guy” was, referring to a popular TikTok content creator who waves a red flag around when other content creators post concerning videos that raise red flags

Looking at the content from @chrisxkeara, however, may show that the entire video was posted as a prank. Other posts from the content creator display a wide range of concerning yet possibly fabricated behaviors. The videos are most likely satirical, but it’s always good to look out for red flags in relationships.

Michaels took humor in the video

While other people didn’t find the video very humorous, some companies cracked a joke.

In the TikTok comments for the video, The Michaels Companies TikTok account left a message. It said, “On my honeymoon with Joann seeing this like” with a collection of emojis forming a face.

The Mary Sue has reached out to Michaels and @chrisxkeara for comment.

Update June 28, 2025:

In a message to TMS, the creator confirmed the video was “all satire.”
