Black woman goes for a night walk at the park. Then four police cars allegedly swarm her and demand to search her: ‘Never happen to a white woman’
She said she complied so nothing could happen to her.

Going out for a walk is usually a mundane and innocent activity. While people sometimes have unexpected encounters, it generally doesn’t involve law enforcement. But for Marrón Jadore (@marronjadore), her walk in the park ended with her allegedly being swarmed by police cars, searched, and told to leave.
In a TikTok video, Jadore told viewers she was on a nighttime stroll at Morgan Falls Overlook Park in Sandy Springs, Georgia, when she noticed an officer following her in their police car. Jadore, who said she was “minding my business,” became confused about why she was being followed as she made her way back to her own car.
According to Jadore, the officer, whom she identified as being from the Sandy Springs Police Department, stepped out of their car, allegedly exuded a “very aggressive” energy, and immediately bombarded her with questions. “[He] immediately asked me if I was in the park by myself, and asked me if I was on the phone,” Jadore said. “He then asked me for my license and I told him it was in my vehicle.”
Jadore says police singled her out
From there, the police trailed after Jadore as she returned to her car. Although she complied with the officer’s demands, Jadore repeatedly asked why she was being singled out among the other parkgoers. “I remained very calm and asked him WHAT WAS THE REASON. He could not tell me,” Jadore said. “I was honestly in shock. This investigation felt very violating as a law abiding citizen and sandy springs [sic] resident.”
In the video that Jadore shared, she can be seen walking while an officer drove slowly beside her. The interaction appeared consistent with Jadore’s explanation, and four police cars can be seen around the area. Before she arrived at her car, she asked a passerby if they could act as her witness in case the situation devolved and she needed references.
Jadore allowed the officer access to her car for her ID, as she was “not worried about them finding anything” attached to her license. However, she said the incident still left her feeling wronged, and claimed that she was racially profiled: “This felt prejudice. There were a few other people in the park and I was thankfully [sic] to have witnesses for this wrongful target. At the end of the day as a Black woman, I did not want to give them ANYTHING to say that I did wrong so I complied.”
Jadore continued to ask the officer why she was being searched but received no answer. Her experience echoed that of another woman who claimed being followed home by an officer but was also denied an explanation.
In a second video, the officers tell Jadore that she needed “to leave the park,” claiming the park was closed. According to the City of Sandy Springs, Morgan Falls Overlook Park closes 10pm daily. However, it was only 7:20pm at the time of the incident, Jadore said.
Officers also told Jadore that they were “running an investigation” at the park, although they did not provide more information. Jadore appeared confused before addressing the video and said, “What the f*** do I have to do with the f****** investigation?”
Citizens are protected from unreasonable searches
In her captions, Jadore called out the police department for allegedly targeting her for a search. She added, “This would never happen to a white woman. Black women are targeted and unprotected, this needs to stop.”
Viewers were divided in their response to Jadore’s video. Some felt that Jadore’s video was proof that the Black community is constantly being targeted, saying, “And ppl rlly think racism and racial profiling is still not a thing.” Others expressed their concern for her well-being. “Girl I dont know you but I just called the department because I live over there and chewed them out. Stay safe,” a commenter said.
Some, however, criticized Jadore for complying with the search. “Girl why are you giving information and allowing them in your car,” a commenter wrote. Another added, “You just gave him access to everything.. you wasn’t driving he had no rights to search your vehicle.” Others also advised Jadore to pursue legal action.
Citizens are protected by the Constitution’s Fourth Amendment from unreasonable searches and seizures of private property without a warrant. However, searches and seizures can be conducted if there is probable cause, exigent circumstances, or if clear consent is given.
If law enforcement observes unusual conduct and has reason to believe that a person is involved in criminal activity, they may briefly stop the person to ask reasonable questions intended to confirm or rule out their suspicions. However, they will still need a warrant to take further action unless there is probable cause that justifies proceeding without one. The same can be said for vehicles.
It remains unclear if Jadore has a case on her hands, as she appeared to give law enforcement consent to be searched based on her video.
