When the first season of Bill Nye Saves the World came out, we were thrilled about the approach the show took to all kinds of topics from artificial intelligence to the sexual spectrum. Talking to the Science Guy himself and his correspondents, they emphasized science as a non-partisan issue and the importance of critical thinking and research.

However, the show dealt with backlash that disqualified Nye as a non-scientist pushing agendas regarding global warming and gender (which we wrote about here and here). In this new clip, Netflix assembles a montage of tweets criticizing the show host, some not-subtle references to Trump taking the U.S. out of the Paris agreement, and other hate mail. “If Twitter is any indication,” the announcement writes, “the world still needs saving.”

It’s clear that there’s still more work to do. Luckily, Netflix is renewing Bill Nye Saves the World for another season to tackle on more timely issues as they keep coming. There’s no news yet about a start date, but are you excited for another season?
