Nah, just kidding, Bill Gates actually awarded one full-size Loki helmet, a beautiful coffee table book of photographs of Africa, and a plush toy of the Polio virus, to Redditor calid7. The fluffy beast above, who was a much bigger fan of the packing material than the weird thing inside it, is merely her cat.

Gates gave the gifts as just another participant in Reddit’s now annual Secret Santa exchange. Last year, Gates awarded a random lucky Redditor with a plush cow, a National Geographic photo book, and a donation to Heifer International (but, amusingly, not the Apple iPad she put on her list). Characteristic to the Gates’ Foundation’s various pro-vaccination missions around the globe, this year Gates made a donation in calid7’s name to Shot@Life, a foundation that provides life-saving vaccines to children who might otherwise never receive them. Now that’s a happy, nerdy Christmas.

She's spoken at events like Geek Girl Con, New York Comic Con, and Comic Book City Con, wants to get a Batwoman tattoo and write a graphic novel, and one of her canine teeth is in backwards.
