Since the teaser trailer was released a few months back, Disney has been surprisingly quiet about the upcoming Big Hero 6, save for some leaked character posters that came out a few weeks back. But the movie is definitely happening, and now we know who’s going to be in it!  Fellow 30 Rock fans, I think you will be very pleased to see a familiar name.

Yesterday, directors Don Hall and Chris Williams finally announced the cast of the Marvel-inspired animated feature over at USA Today. Ryan Potter of Nickeloden’s Supah Ninjas will play Hiro Hamada—who was originally Hiro Takachiho in the comic—with Scott Adsit (HORNBERGER) as his adorably bloblike robot companion, Baymax. Fred will be played by T.J. Miller, Jamie Chung will take on Go Go Tamago, GĂ©nesis RodrĂguez will be Honey Lemon, and Damon Wayans Jr. will play Wasabi No-Ginger. Which, yikes, Disney, maybe that was the name that needed changing? And Honey Lemon, too? C’mon, guys.

Loosely based on the late ’90s Marvel team of superhero misfits, Big Hero 6 will follow Hiro and Baymax as they pull together a group of crime-fighters to protect the futuristic city of San Fransokyo (also not in the comics). Maya Rudolph, Alan Tudyk, James Cromwell, and Daniel Henney have been cast in secondary roles, which excites me to no end because every single one of these actors is fantastic. Hopefully with such a stellar cast, we can be cautiously optimistic in expecting good things from this film when it comes out on November 7th. At the very least, we have more Baymax to look forward to.
