Because You Can’t Get Enough BB-8: Here’s a Trivia Video About the Lil Cutie BB

Recommended Videos

Because I know you can’t get enough of the lil bb, BB-8, here’s a video that shares 20 (!) fun facts about the ball droid. Created by WIRED, it dives into a lot of neat behind-the-scenes factoids about BB-8, including stats like components, height, and even weight. BB-8’s a heavy lil buddy, donchaknow. At two and a half feet tall, he’s way, way shorter than R2-D2–though let’s be honest, you already knew that because seriously how cute was that scene where BB-8 tries to wake up R2-D2 by bumping into him with his head?! Ahem. Anyway.

What’s interesting is that there was more than one BB-8 made, including one “bowling ball” BB-8 that they built literally just so they could throw him across the screen. They really thought of everything, didn’t they? Well, almost everything—this kinda blows Poe’s entire thing about BB-8 being “one-of-a-kind” out of the water. There is a silver lining, however: seven BB-8 droids means that there’s more BB-8 love to go around. And really, that’s what we all want, isn’t it?
