The man doesn't get a break.

Looks like nothing is going to ever be easy for the Green Arrow and his team, that’s for sure. We already learned that John Diggle, after capping season four with some fratricide, is now going to have to face the emotional and mental repercussions from what he’s done–all while being separated from the rest of the Green Arrow Gang. As for those back in Star City, they’re jumping right back into the action–and bringing in some new team members in the process.

The CW released an extended trailer for season five of Arrow yesterday that gets right to it in terms of the kicking and punching–and boy, Oliver is definitely getting punched a lot.

Previously recurring character Curtis Holt (Echo Kellum) is being bumped up to a series regular role, and this trailer already gives us a hint of what’s to come from his increased involvement with Team Arrow. (Although maybe Oliver should think twice before poo-pooing on Olympians; those athletes are majorly badass and could probably hold their own pretty well.)

Check out the new trailer below, which features sneak peeks at new characters like The Walking Dead‘s Chad L. Coleman as a gangster who wants to run Star City–and he wants the Green Arrow out of his way, pronto:
