Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Introduces Super Whendonesque New Characters

Two new members of the team for Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. have been officially introduced. Meet Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) and Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge)– the quirky pair of scientechies behind all of the gadgets and gizmos a-plenty at S.H.I.E.L.D. HQ. People have already been drawing parallels between Fitz and Topher (the tech wunderkind played by Fran Kranz on Dollhouse), and between Simmons and BVTS‘s Willow (Alyson Hannigan). Do you see the similarity? The banter is strong with both of them, but that is also a hallmark of Joss Whedon‘s artistic touch.

Either way, they look awesome. Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. can’t come out soon enough.
