‘And that showed them’: Bill Hader getting revenge by spoiling the ending of movies? More likely than you think

If you have the power to ruin someone’s day who is being mean to you, you take it, right? At least that’s what Bill Hader did when he was working at a movie theatre and I have to respect it.
Hader was appearing on the Netflix series Everybody’s Live With John Mulaney where he spoke with fellow Saturday Night Live alum, John Mulaney, about his life. One of the moments he talked about was getting fired from a movie theatre for spoiling the end of Titanic for a group of girls. When you hear the story though, you will probably be Team Hader like I am.
He explained that a group of girls were on their way to see the 1997 film Titanic and were making fun of him. Hader claimed that they ignored him when he asked them to move, were making fun of him, and were mean so he just decided to tell them how the movie ends. Jack Dawson’s death and all.
“They were making fun of me. They said I looked like Charles Manson. Which I kinda did. I had a little bowtie on and cummerbund, and I was like, ‘Hey guys, please move.’ And they were like, ‘No.’ So when they went in, as I tore the tickets, I was like, ‘Enjoy the movie. The boat sinks at the end. Leo dies.’ And they were like, ‘No, he doesn’t.’ I go, ‘Yeah, you think he’s asleep. But he’s frozen.’ And that showed them.” It resulted in Hader being unemployed.
I don’t agree with Hader getting fired for this. They were being rude to him! Personally, that’s what you get for being mean to a person who works at a movie theater for a living. He gets to see any movie he wants so why would you bite that hand? Anyway, Hader is clearly fine without that movie theater job but there is one lesson we should all take from this: Do not be mean to movie theater employees. They can ruin the movie you just paid to see. And it’d be your fault.
