Airbnb Host Visits Property, Then Finds Her Glass Table Broken and Beer Bottles All Over the Room: ‘Worst AirBnb guests ever’

TikToker Janelle (@janelle._.ivy) has given us a shocking room tour of her Airbnb property, showcasing how her guests left it completely wrecked. In the video, Janelle explained she doesn’t usually show her audience the aftermath of a guest leaving her property, but in this case, she was making an exception to show people the kinds of things she has to deal with.
Before she entered, Janelle underlined that you won’t be ready for what you’re about to see. She wasn’t bluffing. As the camera panned across the property there were beer bottles everywhere, some broken, some whole, and some with alcohol still left in them. In a corner of the room, there was an arch with balloon decorations, and just beside that, on the floor, more bottles!
Next, Janelle shifted her camera to a table that had previously had a glass top. “You guys, this used to be a table with glass on top,” she said, before moving the camera to show the shattered glass on the floor.

Janelle then looked at the kitchen. There were bottles everywhere, along with food, water bottles, empty crates, and a half-eaten birthday cake for Tania’s 24th birthday (who was one of the guests). The kitchen floor was cluttered throughout with various other unidentifiable items, which appeared to be mostly trash. “They did not pick up a lick of trash. They actually came here to ruin our house. Are you joking?”
Then she went up to the living room to find a chicken wing lying on the table, with a plate of the same sitting beside it. Later, when she entered the first bedroom, she noticed the blinds were broken and couldn’t figure out how that could have happened. She also saw that two blankets were missing. Janelle then shifted her attention to the second bedroom and observed that the bed was broken.
Towards the end of the video, Janelle showed pictures of the people responsible for the “disgusting” behavior and stressed that “public shaming” must be reinstated. “Take a good look at these people, okay? These are disrespectful people, the worst of the worst people,” Janelle said as she displayed the photos.
Some people in the comments section seemed to believe Janelle’s crashout in the video was valid. One user wrote, “Tania’s 25th birthday would be in prison cuz I’d be pressing charges & suing.” Another said, “I hope you slapped them with A EVERYTHING FEE.” One user commented, “Nah at that point its felony vandalism.”
Janelle may be eligible for compensation
Airbnb states that under AirCover for Hosts, hosts can receive up to $3 million in reimbursement if a guest damages their property or belongings. The platform specifies that hosts are covered for specific damages caused by guests, especially if the guests do not pay for the damages themselves. Additionally, Airbnb offers reimbursement for additional cleaning costs, such as removing stains left by guests or invitees, pet accidents, and lingering smoke odors.
In Janelle’s case, as a host, she was on the receiving end of misfortune, but guests sometimes have unexpected experiences as well. For example, a guest was called “messy” after she gave her Airbnb host four stars. Likewise, someone burst into a guest’s Airbnb using her keycode.
