Ahmed Mohamed Gets the Late-Night Comedy Treatment on The Nightly Show With Larry Wilmore

Get ready for a hoverboard that goes sideways ...

Recommended Videos

It’s cool to see Ahmed Mohamed encouraged to continue inventing and building in spite of his wrongful, ridiculous, racially-motivated arrest. In this video, Larry Wilmore checks in with Mohamed to find out how he’s doing, and what he hopes to invent next.

First of all, I love how confident and good-humored this kid still is despite his ordeal, and he is never taking that NASA shirt off again. Second, I love that there are so many people that see the value of what he did, and what he can continue achieving if he’s allowed to continue to grow, learn, and experiment. There are some cute bits in here between Wilmore and Mohamed, but my favorite part is what Mohamed wants to work on next: a sideways hoverboard.

Whaaaaaat? People just better stay out of his way and let him create that, because I WANT ONE!
