Adam Kinzinger mocks Donald Trump after his chaotic ‘warmup act’ steals the spotlight

During Donald Trump’s second term as the President of the United States, former United States Air Force and Air National Guard officer Adam Kinzinger has become one of his most outspoken critics. Through social media and interactions with the press, Kinzinger has consistently expressed his deep disdain for Trump and has grabbed every opportunity to voice his criticism of him.

As previously mentioned, Adam Kinzinger often uses social media to express his views on Donald Trump. The platform he primarily resorts to is X (formerly known as Twitter). He has addressed a wide range of topics, from the government shutdown and immigration policies to the suspension of SNAP benefits, the relentless criticism of Democrats, and the current administration’s inefficiency regarding the Jeffrey Epstein investigation. Kinzinger has covered it all. In addition to these specific matters, he has also commented on Trump in broader contexts, often mocking his behaviour in general or in response to various actions or statements from others. A recent example is his remark about a female journalist being “quite piggy,” which drew considerable public attention and was also highlighted by Kinzinger in a post on X.

Currently, Kinzinger is focusing on Trump’s habit of posting on social media, particularly on Truth Social. In a post dated December 24, 2025, Kinzinger expressed his anticipation for Trump’s “joyous Christmas tweets,” following what he referred to as Trump’s “warmup act.” This warm-up act was a Truth Social post about Stephen Colbert, where Trump urged CBS to “put him to sleep” due to Colbert’s nonexistent ratings. The post read:

“Stephen Colbert is a pathetic trainwreck, with no talent or anything else necessary for show business success. Now, after being terminated by CBS, but left out to dry, he has actually gotten worse, along with his nonexistent ratings. Stephen is running on hatred and fumes ~ A dead man walking! CBS should, “put him to sleep,” NOW, it is the humanitarian thing to do!”

By now, everyone knows that Truth Social is where Trump is the most active. Some would say that his presence on the platform is even more than in the White House, and I agree with all of them. Nevertheless, with people going into the holiday season, it is expected that Americans will see more of Trump on Truth Social as he will have ample amount of time on his hands.
