Woman’s Meal Appears To Arrive Half-Eaten. Then the DoorDash Driver Drops a Jaw-Dropping Excuse: ‘It’s My First Day on the Job’
The food looked off, but the explanation was even harder to swallow
Food going missing somewhere between the restaurant and the front door is enough to ruin an order. Customers have accused DoorDash drivers of eating their food and even wondered whether a driver took a sip from their drink. But hearing an explanation directly at the door can make things even stranger.
TikTok creator Ashley (@ashleyunscriptedtv) claims her DoorDash order arrived looking like someone had already eaten part of it. The driver was still outside her home, so Ashley didn’t have to wait to question what had happened to her food.
In a video with around 2 million views, Ashley confronted the woman she identified as her DoorDash driver and asked whether she had eaten from the order. The woman denied it at first, but what she said moments later left Ashley asking her to repeat herself.
‘I Thought You Ordered the Food for Me’
The interaction starts with Ashley and the driver completing the delivery outside her home. The woman asks for a PIN, and Ashley gives her the number “9273.” After repeating it, the driver hands over the order, and the two exchange a quick “thank you” and “you’re welcome.”
Ashley then turns her attention to the food. She can first be heard asking, “Did she eat my food?” before directly questioning the driver, “Did you eat my food, ma’am?” When the woman responds, “Huh?” Ashley asks, “You pregnant?” and then repeats her question about the food.
The woman denies the accusation and seems confused. “No, what you mean?” she responds, before telling Ashley, “This is my first day doing DoorDash.” But the explanation that follows is what catches Ashley’s attention.
“I thought, ma’am, you ordered the food for me,” the woman tells her. Ashley immediately asks, “You said you thought what, ma’am?” The driver struggles to respond before asking, “What did I do wrong?”
Ashley again asks, “You ate my food?” The woman replies, “I thought you ordered it for me.” She then returns to her earlier explanation, adding, “It’s my first day on the job. I don’t know what to do.” Near the end, Ashley again asks whether the woman is pregnant, though the reason for that question is unclear.
Ashley made her accusation clear in the video’s caption. “I’m trying to figure out why my food looked like somebody enjoyed it before it got to my house,” she wrote, adding, “This lady ate my food.”
Not everyone watching was convinced the encounter was real. “thats her sister. its staged,” one commenter claimed, while another wrote, “this has to be rage bait.” Someone else simply commented, “so staged.”
One skeptical viewer questioned the driver’s explanation, writing, “I know its staged and it’s her daughter but if it wasn’t and she thought it was for her then why did she bring it to her address and then take a picture of it.” The viewer’s claim about the relationship between the women has not been verified.
Others took Ashley’s complaint seriously. “I would have called door dash and reported her to get fired and get my money back,” one person wrote. Another questioned the drink, commenting, “Why is the straw in the cup wow . Report this.”
Meanwhile, the driver’s first-day explanation became a punchline for some viewers. “First and last day on the job,” one person joked. Another reacted to her explanation with, “Hold on did she really just say ‘I thought you ordered the food for me’??????”
The video does not independently establish that the driver ate Ashley’s food. With viewers questioning whether the encounter was genuine, what happened to the order before it reached her remains unclear.
