‘Spidey Senses Are Going Off’: Florida Woman Spots 2 Men at Gas Station, but One Follows Her Into a Walmart and Associates Need to Be Called
She said Walmart employees eventually walked her to her car after she became convinced two men were following her through the store.
Florida TikTok creator Tasia Alexis (@tasiaalexis) says her “spidey senses” started going off after she spotted an older man looking her up and down at a Walmart in Orange Park. She had stopped by the store to buy a checkered bath rug, but things got unsettling when she realized the man she had noticed earlier at a nearby gas station had followed her inside.
Alexis said another man began appearing near her as she moved through different aisles. She said the two men eventually met up, and she noticed that both had phones and items in their carts.
Alexis said she began changing directions to see whether the men would continue appearing near her, similar to how a Walmart shopper felt followed before turning around to see whether someone was behind her. She then moved toward the front of the store and later went into the men’s section, where she said there were few other shoppers.
She decided she wasn’t taking any chances
Alexis said she became frightened and considered asking another woman for help. She said she hesitated because she did not want to involve someone else.
She then approached two Walmart employees and told them she believed the men were following her, a decision that mirrors another case involving a woman seeking help from a waitress after she believed she was being followed. Alexis asked the employees to walk her to her car.
According to Alexis, she told the employees, “They’re following me.” She pointed out that the men had items in their carts that she said they were not putting away. Alexis then asked, “Can you please walk me out to my car?”
The employees walked with Alexis outside to her vehicle. She said the experience made her uncomfortable with shopping alone and that she would not return to that Walmart by herself.
Alexis later shared the incident on TikTok, where viewers responded with their own experiences of feeling unsafe in public places. One commenter wrote, “Swear us women can’t just live in peace,” while another encouraged women to “stay weird” and “stay loud.”
Alexis described the incident as the “scariest moment ever.” There is no independent confirmation that the two men were following her, and the account is based on Alexis’s description of what happened.
