Massachusetts Woman Received 19 Pizzas from DoorDash, But It’s Not Hers: ‘That’s a Thousand Dollars Worth of Food’
She had to donate the 19 pizzas and calzones that mysteriously appeared at her front door.

Katy Place (@kritchenscissors) from Massachusetts went on TikTok to find the owner of 19 boxes of pizzas and calzones and three steak tip salads delivered to her home by a DoorDash driver. Place insists that the order was not hers.
“I need help trying to figure out this mystery,” Place told TikTok. She said her household received the large DoorDash order under the name “Barry K” in Salem, Massachusetts. When Place checked her neighbor’s front door, she also noticed that a large food delivery from “Barry K” was left on their porch. Instead of pizzas, their neighbor got four boxes of Bonchon chicken.
“Barry, what happened?” Place asked online. Nevertheless, Place disclosed in the comments of her video that their share was donated to a local food shelter. She wrote, “For anyone wondering: we donated the food to the local homeless shelter. We called and asked if they wanted it (yes we told them it had been sitting out there), and they said they’d take it. No food wasted here!”
What happened to this DoorDash order?
The clip went viral on TikTok, amassing more than 100,000 likes on the platform. Social media users began speculating on what might have gone wrong with the order.
One user wrote, “Either Barry is very upset his party is missing food OR Barry has a child that was using their phone, and they gonna be real upset when they find out.” Others also thought that perhaps Barry was either starving or drunk when he was placing an order, which led him to punch in the wrong delivery address. Meanwhile, some people joked that they’d love to give Barry their address if it meant receiving free food. Receiving food in huge quantities can bring joy to anyone, especially someone who doesn’t expect their DoorDash order to come in monstrous proportions.
Nevertheless, the video had reached even the people who packed the order. One woman who claimed to work for Bonchon said that she packed the order and that the shop even had to close down because Barry’s order was huge.
Where is Barry K?
Place posted an update regarding Barry, but it seems that the mystery is yet to be resolved. She said, “I have not found Barry yet. I have gotten into contact with DoorDash—they are looking into it. Hopefully, they can find some information.” Place also inquired with the Bonchon restaurant. However, Place said the only information they could give her was the order time and price.
Additionally, Place has also been posting on Facebook groups to locate Barry. However, Place didn’t feel too confident that she’d find Barry. She said, “But I’m going to be honest, I don’t think we’re going to find him. I’m not even sure Barry exists.” Place theorized that either Barry was scammed or that he was the scammer. She also considered the other possibilities the commenters on her initial video suggested—that he might be drunk or that his kid placed the order.
“If I was him, I’d be distraught,” Place said. She continued, “That’s a thousand dollars worth of food.” Although Barry K is yet to be found, Place said that the woman from the homeless shelter was thankful for the food donation. It was an accidental good deed—one that would have been appreciated by this teacher who runs a food pantry.
