Father Confronts His Daughter’s Bully, Only to Get Beat Up by 12-Year-Old Student After Threatening the Wrong Kid
Well, that's rough.

Parents who care for their children will go to any lengths to ensure their kids grow up happy and loved, even if it means taking matters into their own hands. One father found himself in that predicament when he learned that his daughter was being bullied and decided to confront the bully, only to get beaten up himself after a case of mistaken identity.
The Herald Sun reported that the unnamed father had picked up his daughter at Wollert Secondary College in Victoria, Australia, on Aug. 24. But instead of simply leaving the school grounds after fetching his daughter, he reportedly decided to confront a group of Year 7 boys whom he believed were his daughter’s tormentors.
The father supposedly approached the group, but singled out one student in particular before allegedly making accusations and threats. However, the student he purportedly threatened to “slash the throat” of was said not to be involved in his daughter’s bullying.
The father reportedly sustained injuries
The argument between the father and student escalated before a 12-year-old student reportedly overheard the confrontation and decided to intervene and show off his MMA training. It seems that displaying one’s combat skills is a preferred method to combat bullying, as another student was taught how to fight in a separate incident. The father was supposedly beaten severely by the young student, with his daughter and several onlookers bearing witness to the physical altercation.
Parents who were present during the incident also expressed their concerns over the safety of their children at Wollert. The father’s decision to confront a young student instead of filing a formal complaint with the school was also called into question.
“The parent should have asked which child was bullying his kid instead of assuming,” one parent told the news outlet. “As a father, you should have gone to the office and complained, or the student should have gone to the office and reported the incident. The teachers would have done something about it.”
Police officers reportedly responded to the incident at Wollert, but a formal police report hadn’t been made. As a result of the altercation, the school allegedly tightened its security measures to prevent such an incident from happening again in the future.
It remains unclear what injuries the father sustained during the tussle or the consequences he could potentially face for the incident with the minor. But it is safe to say he won’t be showing up at his daughter’s school any time soon.
