Woman Says Her Son Has Been ‘Violently Sick’ for a Couple of Days, Then Realizes Her Mother-in-Law Has Been Bribing Him
It sounds like something sinister is happening here.

What would you do if you found out that your ex-mother-in-law was the reason your child fell “violently sick?” @txcstories was put in that exact situation, but she said she didn’t want to act on her natural anger and decided to handle the issue in more maturely, unlike this woman who posted a video blaming her date after he walked out on her.
In a TikTok video, @txcstories shared that her ex-mother-in-law was bribing her son with sweets while he stayed at her house to gather information about her. The problem was, he wasn’t supposed to have the sweets, yet she kept giving them to him, causing him to get sick.
Among the things her ex-mother-in-law asked the child to do was to ask him about the guy she was seeing at the time. However, she revealed he wasn’t aware of it because she hadn’t told him about him. Another thing the mother-in-law allegedly asked her son to do was to retrieve her phone and get her password so she could access it without her knowledge.
“This is a step in grooming”
@txcstories alleges that her ex-mother-in-law told her son that his father, her ex, was paying excessive money, which supposedly wasn’t all going to the son. She allegedly accused her of using that money to groom herself and maintain her appearance for her new partner.
“He’s also actually told him that my ex, his dad, my son’s dad, pays me too much money and that couldn’t possibly all be going on him. My son,” she said. She continued, “This woman has told my 10-year-old son that she thinks that I’ve been spending that money that my husband, my ex-husband, gives me for our son, on myself, to keep myself looking good, to be able to keep my new man.”
She also revealed that when her son refused to steal her phone, her ex-mother-in-law withheld sweets from him and ate them in front of him as a form of punishment. “The sweets that she’d been bribing him with, she ate them in front of him so he felt like he’d been a bad boy. And she did that until he cried.”
@txcstories said she plans to address this with her ex-husband. She mentioned she had spoken to him and, although she hadn’t shared the details, told him it was urgent. “So he’s coming round tonight. I’m gonna tell him absolutely everything, and I’m gonna make sure that, that woman never has access to my son again,” she added.
People in the comments section of the post have shown concern. One user wrote, “Hey babe.. I’m in criminalistics and had a sex forensics class.. This is a step in grooming..” Another stated, “Hey so I was SAd as a kid…. thats grooming. They always start with secrets and they WILL test if the secrets are kept…. Never let her around your son ever again. No exceptions. Ever.”
One user commented saying, “Do grandmothers think their sons send a gajillion dollars a month to their ex-partner? Child support gets capped at the most minuscule amounts.” Some others urged her to report the case to the authorities.
An article from the Center for Violence Prevention and Self-Defense Training discusses how to identify signs that a child or loved one is being groomed. The individual may withdraw or seem troubled but resist talking about it. Their emotions could become more unpredictable, and you might notice them wearing or using something new that you didn’t buy.
Groomers often try to isolate their victims from family and friends. If they hesitate to meet you or decline visits, it may be because of manipulation. They may also start talking about a new “friend,” “boyfriend,” or “girlfriend,” whose identity and how they met remain unclear.
Considering that @txcstories’ ex-mother-in-law repeatedly tried to gather information from @txcstories’s son and provide him with false or misleading details, it’s likely some grooming occurred. In such cases, it’s best to act promptly, similar to how this woman responded to a medical worker who behaved inappropriately with her.
