As a rule, birthdays are intended to make the person feel special. What better way to do it than spoil yourself with something you’ve been wanting? This woman’s birthday present to herself was a $300 perfume from Nordstrom. Anger replaced her excitement after it arrived in questionable condition.

“I don’t know what I did wrong in life, but this is a message to Nordstrom and FedEx,” Florida TikTok creator Cece (@sivahc) says, holding the cardboard Nordstrom package.

What Went Wrong with This Nordstrom Package?

“I ordered a $300 perfume as a gift to myself for my birthday. I didn’t even open it,” she explains, pointing to the presumably torn opening on the side, followed by gesturing to the sealed top. “I just grabbed it from my door.”

When she moves sideways, she pulls back the flaps further, implying someone snagged her gift for themselves. “I am fuming,” she remarks, holding back her anger. “This is insane that this is the world we live in, where I can’t even order something safely to my own door.”

To prove it, Cece reaches inside the box, pulls the same folds and packing paper back to unveil the lack of perfume in its entirety to over 16,000 viewers. Frustrated, she tosses the empty package onto the ground.

Viewers Chime In With Their Stories

“FedEx has done this to me several times!” one viewer remarked.

“That’s FedEx for sure. They do this to every single thing I order from anywhere that comes via FedEx,” another stated.

“Wait hold on—my last shipment from Nordstrom had that happen!!!!!” a third commented.

“Yeah this has happened to me a [couple of] times ordering sunglasses from Nordstrom. So gross,” a fourth shared.

“This happened to me with a pair of Ugg slippers!! I seriously felt violated when I opened them,” a fifth recalled.

What Did Nordstrom Do?

Upon further scrolling in the comments section, Cece revealed the company did take care of the problem, just not in the most appropriate way. “Nordstrom just wanted to refund me and made me re-order it. No accountability. Just a half [a–] sorry.”

What To Do If Your FedEx Package Is Stolen

Obviously, FedEx drivers allegedly swooping in and taking orders isn’t anything new. In February, one woman claimed that a FedEx driver allegedly forged her signature to steal her $3,000 Canon camera. The best step is to contact both the company you ordered from and FedEx itself. The transport company lists on its website how to do so:

  1. Document everything you can. This includes tracking information, shipping receipts, and the item’s value (this can be done through an invoice or appraisal).
  2. File the claim the sooner, the better, within 60 days domestically and 21 days internationally. (Though the sooner, the better.)
  3. Provide as many details and be as specific about the item as possible.
@sivahc @Nordstrom @FedEx wtf?!?! I’m so upset ? & all I can do is process a refund & have it “investigated” ? #fedex #nordstrom #stolen #mfk #fyp ♬ original sound – cece
