Maryland Woman Wished for a Man Who’s ‘Obsessed’ With Her. Then He AI-Generated Her Future With Him
Three days later, he had AI-proposed, got AI-married, and had two AI-children with her.
As the old saying goes, be careful what you wish for. Annie (@anniebodythere_) from Maryland gave a stranger she met in New York a chance to befriend her. What was supposed to be a casual chat ended with an AI-generated nightmare.
“I want a man who’s obsessed, who’s obsessed, but like, not literally,” Annie told TikTok. She explained that she went to New York to go shopping with her sibling two months ago.
“As I was going into this store, I ran into this man. Light-skinned, Ghanaian man, pretty tall, pretty good stature… He was a very attractive guy,” she said. But instead of letting her go, Annie said that the man stopped her and asked for her name. It almost seemed like the beginning of a meet-cute, like a Hinge date that could lead to happily ever after.
The unnamed man asked Annie if she was alone and struck up a conversation with her. She explained that she was with her siblings, and that they were trying to find clothes for her younger brother. When she asked him where he was from, the man explained he was visiting from Ghana. Somewhere in the conversation, the man complimented her outright.
They ended up flirting for a bit
“You’re very gorgeous. I would like to get your number. Are you single or are you married? I don’t see a ring on your finger,” the man supposedly said. Although he was clearly making a move on her, Annie didn’t feel alarmed. It wasn’t anything like what this woman from Georgia experienced when a stranger kept insisting on inviting her for dinner. Annie thought the man was just asking for her number, and she gave it to him to keep in touch.
They started flirting, which Annie said she reciprocated. Eventually, they went up to the store, and the man met her siblings. She even said that he helped her brother out with styling and offered to meet up at a later date with her siblings while he’s in New York. He allegedly wanted to bring them to Brooklyn and show them a few clothing spots, which Annie didn’t find strange.
But after shopping, the man told Annie again that he was interested in her. He told her he would be in the area for another month and that he didn’t mind traveling to Maryland for her. Before they parted ways, the man even gave her a bracelet as “a token of affection.”
“I get very wary of things like that because me, I’m African, and I know the powers of witchcraft and juju,” Annie said of the small gift. Nevertheless, she took the bracelet and thanked him for it, even though she decided not to wear it.

Annie got home to Maryland that night. The next morning, the man was already calling her at 8 a.m. She thought it was too early, but she picked up to be polite.
“I love your morning voice,” the man allegedly said. Annie said she was taken aback because she had just met him a day ago. Nevertheless, she told him to text her instead because she still had so much to do. They had a few back-and-forths, which didn’t seem strange.
Then the next day, Annie said the man sent her a song and a long message, calling her “my love.” She started to feel uncomfortable. Annie said, “Basically, heavy love bombing vibes, which was already giving me the ick. But it didn’t end there, because when they spoke on the phone again, Annie alleged that the man was already planning to spend Christmas with her. He also supposedly suggested buying her plane tickets to Ghana. They had only been talking for two days, and it was June, so nowhere near Christmas.
Annie told the man she wanted to take things slow and that she didn’t like the love bombing. She alleged that he would dial his affection back, only to go back to his excessive ways.
Annie said that the man prefaced it by saying that he stayed up for a ‘project’ and that she shouldn’t be alarmed. Then, he allegedly sent her AI-generated photos of their future together. She showed AI-generated photos of their proposal, their wedding, and two kids, all allegedly made by him. She didn’t think that the two photos of herself she sent to him would be used this way. This was the final straw for Annie, and she said she blocked him after that.
